About
I grew up on the west coast of Canada between tide pools and tall trees. I have a passion for science with a BSc in chemistry from the University of Victoria and a fascination with art and adventure.
From a young age I learned of many approaches to medicine. I gathered medicinal and health approaches and perspectives from: the botanical medicines grown in the garden, herbalists, yoga instruction from local and international teachers, and nutritional research. Later I continued my education through: work in an aboriginal medicinal plant factory in Ecuador, research on contaminated sites in Canada, and achieving my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. I enjoy integrating the science of modern medicine and the wisdom of ancient medicine to approach health concerns. |
